Hand paint linen bed furnishing

Fashion is indispensable in our life. It comes in forms of home décor show-piece, jewellery or dress materials. We have seen beautiful printed curtains to decorate our living and drawing rooms too. It's not limited to these forms only. It can be a beautifully crafted tea table or even a small candle stand! It's all about how you decorate your surroundings reflecting your taste all around.

Today I am presenting a new form of home décor / furnishing. It's in form of hand-painted linen bed cover. It's special because it's not printed. It's special because it has my personal touch, my passion. It's special because it's unique. It's special because it has a unique story to share. It's special because every line is precisely painted by hand. It's special because it's gorgeous.

Every details of tree, it's leaves, fence are painted by hand (picture above). And even the roof tiles are also precisely done with brush stokes only! (picture below)

Have you seen the waves on the water? Every waves you see are brush stokes only. Since the base colour of the linen was light sea green, every coat of blue were precisely painted on it to differentiate from its base with a stoke of white colour. It took almost a month to get my desired colour depth and effect.

Playing with colors and brush: Portrait on cotton cloth

The other day I was in a relaxing mood by not trying to make new jewellery all the day. I was thinking of taking a day break from my usual schedule. Aadi, my only son, suggested me to pull down our family album to refresh his memory down the lane. So I was! After a while we both were dumped under a pile of albums. We started with our wedding album and Aadi was so excited to seeing his parents in such funny costumes. It went for an hour. Then gradually we moved to his birthdays, starting from his first birth anniversary towards his sixth. He was trying to find his new "avatar" in every frame he saw. His eyes were wide open to grasp his grown-up-stories step by step. We enjoyed the moment thoroughly.
